Amanda has been in the beauty industry for over twenty years. In August 2016, she decided it was time to make her own mark. She opened Ash and Oak Salon eight months later. Ash and Oak Salon was established by wanting to create a space where her clients could be taken care of, both intimately and flawlessly, with products and services that benefit those clients and the environment at the same time. Her strengths are problem solving, dimensional color, and extension services.

Amanda resides right here in Catonsville with her son and family dogs, Ramona and Trudy. When she's not at work, she loves to travel, enjoy great food, knit, and go to Ravens games.
​
Amanda has attended different educational opportunities all over the world including, Davines WWHT in Parma, Italy, Nine Zero One Academy in LA, Davines cutting in NYC, Bellami Master Certification in Albuquerque, and Great Length in NYC and Miami.

Beth has been in the beauty industry since 2009 - with the exception of working in countless salons through highschool. She kicked off her career at a previously well-known salon in Locust Point where she worked for almost 8 years before the opening of Ash + Oak.
Behind the chair, Beth specializes in a wide variety of extension services, multidimensional color (reds being a favorite), gray blending and coloring, as well as long hair cutting, razor cuts, and styling. She takes pride in her art and has confidence in giving advice and guidance to each client.
Outside of the salon, Beth is a Catonsville resident. She has two children, Oliver and Ava, and two fur babies, Betty and Dash. She’s a foodie and loves to try new fun places with her kids. She loves a new adventure and is wicked competitive at any type of game. Live music, dad jokes, a good book, and a true crime documentary are fan faves of hers. Family and friends are a major priority in her life.

Kasee graduated from the Paul Mitchell School and has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2015. She excels at all things from lived-in dimensional colors to extension services.
With a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends and techniques, Kasee continues to hone her skills through ongoing education. Known for her attention to detail and personalized approach, Kasee takes the time to understand each client's unique needs, ensuring they leave her chair feeling confident and beautiful.
Outside of the salon, Kasee enjoys traveling and spending the summer weekends at the beach with her family. She has 2 rescue dogs , Kiwi and Luna.

Julie discovered her love for hair during high school and immediately pursued her passion by enrolling in beauty school after graduating. In 2016, she attended Paul Mitchell in Jessup and subsequently gained five years of experience at a salon in Ellicott City before joining Ash + Oak.

Julie has been behind the chair for seven years. Her specialties include creative coloring, curly hair, and blonding services such as highlights and balayage. Julie is particularly fond of transformative hair makeovers.
​
Outside of work, Julie resides in Catonsville with her Corgis, Jupiter and Phoenix. She loves exploring local parks and trails with her dog, and finds joy in painting and tending to her collection of plants.

Alana started her career in 2005 as a shampoo tech at a salon in downtown Baltimore. She completed a cosmetology apprenticeship and has played many roles in the salon. Working in many different cities over the years, she found a passion for barbering. While this is her greatest strength, she also loves to cut and color long hair as well as provide extension services.
When Alana is not at work she can be found reading a good book and enjoying the company of her 2 chihuahuas, Peewee and Pinkie. Alana is a NASCAR fan and loves traveling to races.

Erica has had a lifelong passion for everything related to beauty. Following her completion of the cosmetology program at The Temple: Annapolis in 2020, she apprenticed under Amanda Hancock, the owner of Ash + Oak, along with other stylists from A+O, before taking her place behind the salon chair.

Erica's preferred services behind the chair include blonding, creating lived-in color styles, and performing extensions.
​
Outside of work, Erica resides in Baltimore. In her free time, she loves bonding with her family and pets, discovering new corners of the city, and nurturing plants.

Adela has always had a deep-rooted passion for the beauty and hair industry. Immediately after high school, she pursued her dreams by enrolling at Paul Mitchell in Annapolis, graduating in 2020. She honed her skills at a barber shop for two years, where her passion for men's hair flourished.

While passionate about men’s cuts, Adela sought further growth opportunities and joined Ash and Oak as an assistant. Learning from seasoned professionals was a transformative experience that bolstered her confidence behind the salon chair.

Adela excels in cutting and dimensional color. She thrives on challenging projects and relishes the opportunity to create stunning transformations. Her ultimate goal is to ensure that everyone who sits in her chair feels and looks their absolute best!

Adela happily lives in Bowie with her doggie Charlie Brown. When she’s not doing hair she loves being in nature, traveling, and spending time with friends and family!

She received her training at The Temple, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, and launched her career at another salon for her initial year before becoming part of the Ash + Oak team.
Jade specializes in color corrections, extensions, and dimensional color. Her priority is ensuring that everyone who sits in her chair feels both beautiful and warmly welcomed.
Outside of the salon, Jade dedicates her time to her two kiddos and enjoys the company of her dogs, Teddie and Zues. She also savors moments with a cup of coffee, curled up with a captivating book.

Hanna discovered her true passion for the beauty industry three years ago, recognizing the importance of pursuing a career that truly ignited her creativity. With a lifelong love for art, she chose to follow her interests and began her journey in cosmetology. In 2024, she graduated from Paul Mitchell The Temple in Frederick and earned her cosmetology license. Shortly after, she began her professional career at Ash + Oak Salon in November.

Since starting her career, Hanna has further honed her skills and expertise, earning certifications in Bellami and Great Lengths. She has a deep appreciation for all aspects of hair, particularly dimensional color and cutting, and is eager to expand her knowledge in these areas.
​
Outside of her professional life, Hanna enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and her golden retriever, Oakley. She has a wide range of hobbies, from reading and crocheting to sewing and binge-watching shows. Hanna also dreams of traveling and looks forward to exploring new destinations in the future.

While in college, Autumn began working at Ash + Oak as an assistant. Over time, she fell in love with the beauty industry and decided to pursue a career in cosmetology, enrolling at The Temple: Annapolis.
Autumn is passionate about dimensional color and extension services, and plans to continue her education through advanced training. Some of the classes on her radar include Vidal Sassoon ABC Cutting, Masters of Balayage, and the 901 Academy Extension Course.
Outside of the salon, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring new hobbies, and catching up on reality TV.

Kam has had a passion for the beauty industry for as long as she can remember. In 2023, she took the first step toward her dream by enrolling at The Temple: A Paul Mitchell Partner School. From day one, Ash + Oak was her ultimate goal—and she’s proud to now be part of the team as a Junior Stylist.

Kam is especially drawn to blonding, lived-in color, dimensional color, and extensions. Her goal is to help every guest feel confident, beautiful, and completely in love with their hair.

When she’s not behind the chair, Kam enjoys spending time with her dog Gunther, browsing local small-town shops, getting lost in a good book, and making memories with family and friends.
